Venturing Skills Award

All members of your team must have completed thier Venturing Skills Award. This award is generally completed when you first join your Unit. If you are unsure if you have this award, speak to your Unit Chairman or Venturer Scout Leader.

First Aid Certificate

At least one member of your team must hold a First Aid certificate. There will be a one day course held by 1st Oakville in Sept 2011. The following region sites provide information on First Aid courses in thier local area.

If you are running a course in 2011 and you would like to include it on our list, please let us know.

Bushwalking Certificates

At least one member of each team must hold a level 2 Bushwalking Certificate, and every other member of the team must hold a level 1.

We know and understand that the rules have changed recently and everyone is taking a bit of time to work out the implementation of the new policy. Our advice is to speak to your Region Bushwalking Examiner who will explain exactly what is happening in your region.

The GWS Region Bushwalking Leader - Frank Barr has also kindly agreed to help Operation Dragnet participants get the required qualifications. IN GWS, this means submitting a log to Frank and he will assess and award a Qualification as appropiate. For information on what is required - visit the GWS Bushwalking page.
