Waratah 2011 is a State Venturer Event. Based on the GWS Waratah, which is built up from the ground each year, it is designed to challenge participants with a large multi-faceted problem that requires a wide variety of Scouting Skills. It is also a chance to socialise in a fun filled environment.
Right, well thats the official answer out of the way. Waratah is a camp that is designed with you guys - the Venturers in mind. We choose a theme and develop a camp around it with a monster challenge that you and your team must use as many skills as you can to beat. We travel around the state, going to different locations to make Waratah unique, exiciting and fun. Waratah is always held on the weekend immedietly following the HSC (except when Steve stuffs up) so that as many Venturers as possible can come and join the fun.
In 2011, Waratah is pitching itself to a whole new audience... The Venturers of NSW.
At the end of the Day, Waratah is about Challenging Yourself, Pushing Yourself to try new experiences and having some fun along the way.
